 1. What issues can you help me with?
We provide counseling for adults, children, and families. Common areas we support include: Anxiety and depression Parenting challenges and family stress Marital and relationship issues Anger and emotional regulation Grief and loss Self-esteem and personal growth Whether you are struggling with life transitions, faith challenges, or day-to-day stress, we’re here to walk alongside you.
2. What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a time to get to know you and understand your goals. We’ll discuss: Your personal and family history Your current challenges What you hope to achieve through counseling You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, review our policies, and receive a Good Faith Estimate if you are self-pay.
3. How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions are also 50 minutes, unless another arrangement is requested in advance.
4. Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients who cannot attend in person. Telehealth sessions follow the same procedures as in-person sessions and are a convenient way to maintain consistent counseling.
5. Do you accept insurance?
Steven Davis, LPC: Accepts many major insurance plans (see our Fees & Insurance page for a full list). Copays and deductibles apply, and we can bill out-of-network on your behalf. Michael Colon: Self-pay only; does not accept insurance.
6. How do I pay for sessions?
We accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, cash, or check. All clients must keep a card on file. Late cancellations or no-shows are billed at the full session rate.
7. What if I’m in crisis?
We do not provide emergency or walk-in services. If you are experiencing a crisis, please: Call 911 Go to the nearest emergency room Call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 (in the U.S.)
8. How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled in advance only. You can request a session through our online portal or by contacting us directly. 
9. Can children attend sessions?
Yes. Counseling for children and adolescents is available, and parents are often involved in sessions as appropriate. We focus on age-appropriate strategies and creating a safe space for your child.
10. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We require notice of at least 24 hours. Late cancellations or missed appointments are charged at the full session rate.
11. Will counseling be confidential?
Absolutely. All sessions are confidential, in accordance with Georgia law and ethical standards for counseling. Exceptions apply only in situations where safety is at risk (harm to self or others, abuse reporting requirements).
